Two Oncodesign collaborators embarked on a human and solidarity adventure in Cambodia last December: to wear the colors of the Coup d‘Pouce association.
Courage, determination and surpassing oneself are essential values to fight against the disease, Caro and Stef set the example by fighting against themselves to take up the challenge
“When Caroline and Stephanie contacted us to wear the colors of the association we hesitated to answer in the positive. Indeed, solicited many times by athletes, we have not always had positive feedback on this type of solicitation. Our logo served more to search for sponsors than to defend our cause.
We wanted to meet them to know the motives.
During this exchange we immediately felt a strong and firm desire to give ourselves fully to our association Coup d’Pouce. Our two adventurers have invested in children with cancer in Burgundy by participating in our various events as volunteers. This is a first for us in this type of operation!
Being also in the middle working on Oncodesign made us perfectly consistent in the goal to achieve. Their journey throughout the preparation to the final round is a reflection of the fight that little warriors lead. Courage, determination and surpassing oneself are essential values to fight against the disease, Caro and Stef set the example by fighting against themselves to take up the challenge. A good example for children.
Beyond these values they have also helped to extract sick children from their daily lives by making them discover another world, make them dream with beautiful landscapes. The children followed the evolution of our two champions through social networks.
Our logo was proudly worn on the other side of the world.
And then a third part of this action and not the least is the donation made by Cassis Creams to Coup d’Pouce. The search for sponsors was a great battle before he could walk on Cambodian soil. The sponsors, including the principal Oncodesign, allowed the two sportsmen to finance, on their return, a compartmentalized refrigerator and a freezer with drawers to equip the kitchen of the parents in the pediatric hemato- oncology service of the CHU of Dijon. This kitchen, made by Coup d’Pouce, is indispensable for the 24-hour accompaniment of the sick child by his parents.
I want to congratulate Caroline and Stephanie for their feat, we were very proud that our logo is worn by valuable people, thank you for your dedication, your kindness. Thanks to all the partners of Crèmes de Cassis, sponsors, coaches, families and friends who made that the adventure took place in the best conditions. I know that we will see our two champions by our side to contribute to the well being of children suffering from cancer in Burgundy! ”
